Publishing rules

What may be published in the catalog and what we do about breaches.

October 2026 edition

By link and in the catalog

By link a book opens at once, even unfinished. It won’t be in the catalog or search.

The catalog takes finished books with a cover, an age rating and at least one ending — after a moderator’s review, usually 1–2 days. Later updates reach readers at once, without another review.

What may be published

Your own stories of any genre and in any language, with a rating that honestly reflects the most explicit thing in the book.

Not allowed: calls to violence and hatred, sexual content involving minors, anything the law forbids, advertising and links for advertising, spoilers in the blurb, other people’s texts and pictures without permission.

Age rating

The author picks the rating in “About the book”: 0+, 6+, 12+, 16+ or 18+. It must match the most explicit thing in the book; a moderator may raise it on review and will explain why.

Books 18+ are seen only by those who switched them on in the settings, and open only after confirming one’s age.

Rights to texts and pictures

Publish only what you wrote and drew yourself or have the rights to. Pictures and sounds from the studio’s set may be used in your books.

If you hold the rights and found your work in someone else’s book, report the book (“Someone else’s text or cover”) or write to us in Help.

Removal and appeals

A book that breaks the rules is sent back for changes with a reason, or, if it’s already in the catalog, hidden. Those who bought a hidden book get their money back automatically.

A book sent back can be appealed from the author’s desk: another moderator looks, usually within 3 days. An author may also withdraw a book — those who bought it read it to the end.
